The Broad Street Gallery
Broad Street Gallery opened on December 3rd, 2011 as a fine arts cooperate with over twenty-five artists and artisans represented in the gallery. The gallery hosted a collection of paintings, jewelry, wood work, fiber arts, photography, ceramics, collage arts and more.
Broad Street Gallery, which was located right next door to the Hamilton Center for the Arts, was a center for artistic enrichment in Central New York. Just down the road from Colgate University, the gallery's prime location on the Village Green was a destination for visitors and students alike. The venue was large, open, and fresh— ideal to showcase a diverse body of work from regional artists. It was highly visible and easily accessible within the community and surrounding areas, all features which highlighted the Gallery's uniqueness.
Broad Street Gallery opened in 2011 to fill the needs of artists looking for an affordable and professional venue to exhibit and sell their work. Broad Street Gallery was a fine arts co-op run by the artist members and support from Colgate University student interns.
The Broad Street Gallery closed it doors in June of 2020, but lives on through the UpFront Gallery which will feature work by BSG artitsts.
